A Note on Disclosure – as it applies to Wey Tutors.
A Disclosure is a document containing information held on the Police National Computer and by Government Departments. It is used by employers to make safer recruitment decisions. Disclosures are provided by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) an executive branch of the Home Office.
There are three levels of Disclosure. The most detailed is the Enhanced Disclosure which is required by those recruiting adults to work with children. Application for a Disclosure is normally made through Wey Tutors who will supply the application form and check applicants’ identities. The form is then sent to the CRB who will process it and send the Disclosure to the applicant and a copy to us.
The current cost of an Enhanced Disclosure is £36.00.
You will not be able to work with children unless you have obtained an Enhanced Disclosure.
If you have already obtained an Enhanced Disclosure recently then you need not apply again. Send your original document (not a copy) with your application form and it will be returned to you.
If you do not intend to work with children you may still be asked to obtain a Standard Disclosure.
Full details of the Disclosure Service will be supplied with the application form.
Further information can be obtained from the CRB by telephone or online.
